Who The F*cking Hell Haiku?

Schedule

Sat, 28 Nov, 2026 at 04:00 pm

UTC+00:00
Location

The Lych Gate Tavern | Wolverhampton, EN

Author and poet Matt Eccles is turning Japanese (he really thinks so) although he recently quit being a Vapor.
As you’ve just witnessed, you’ll marvel at his popular culture references, if by chance, you’re into anything that happened during the 70s and 80s!
He’ll bring the haiku to life in this interactive show (there’ll be QR code for you to scan) that’s split into topics shot through the lens of this ancient art form. Each section is rounded off with an original longer form poem.
In fact, his poem about gambling on horses does come with a Trigger warning (one for you Roy Rogers fans).
Based on his 5-star rated book that inspired the title of this show, this will be an afternoon loaded with pathos and bathos (assuming D'Artagnan let’s them work weekends).
There’ll be a special guest too!
