Who Are You? - Kluster5

Who Are You? explores the inner self of the maker. Which part of yourself do you want to highlight, or leave in the shadows? Do you want to reveal a new aspect of yourself, or reinforce an existing image? Who Are You? is an invitation to young composers to present themselves to the public.

Within a four-month trajectory, Kluster5 worked with a small group of composers on developing new pieces. At the core of these works lies the question: Who Are You? Through exercises and coaching sessions, this question was explored. The answers found a place in different shapes and forms: in music, text and objects. Tonight you will not only listen to new music, you will also get to know three composers.

Who Are You? onderzoekt het innerlijke zelf van de maker. Welk deel van jezelf wil je benadrukken, of juist in de schaduw laten? Wil je een nieuw aspect van jezelf onthullen, of een bestaand beeld versterken? Who Are You? is een uitnodiging aan jonge componisten om zich aan het publiek te presenteren.

Gedurende een traject van vier maanden werkte Kluster5 samen met een kleine groep componisten aan de ontwikkeling van nieuwe stukken. De kern van deze werken wordt gevormd door de vraag: Who Are You? Door middel van oefeningen en coachingsessies werd deze vraag onderzocht. De antwoorden vonden hun weg naar verschillende vormen en uitingen: in muziek, tekst en objecten. Vanavond luister je niet alleen naar nieuwe muziek, maar maak je ook kennis met drie componisten.
