About this Event
JOIN KTC'S FIRST-EVER WHITE TARA RETREAT
In-Person Only
SUNDAY FEB. 1 - SATURDAY FEB. 7, 2026
To help Columbus Karma Thegsum Choling celebrate completion of its new temple and shrine room, KTC is offering a traditional Seven-Day White Tara Retreat for Health and Longevity from Feb. 1 to 7, 2026.
The White Tara Practice is renowned for its blessings of health and longevity, which benefit spiritual practitioners on the path to awakening.
While the retreat traditionally lasts seven days, we welcome participants to attend as much as they want.
It is our hope that this retreat will be a powerful aspiration for the health and longevity of the KTC, its lamas, teachers, volunteers and friends. May all beings benefit!
White Tara is a beloved form of the female Bodhisattva of Compassion, and her practice helps us develop our own inner love, compassion and wisdom.
Who Can Participate?
The retreat is open only to those who have taken the Buddhist Vow of Refuge. To arrange a Refuge Ceremony before the retreat, contact Lama Kathy Wesley's assostant at [email protected].
Beginners and seasoned practitioners alike are encouraged to attend this profound retreat.
Each day, Lama Kathy will teach for one hour on the White Tara practice using Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche's book, "The Wish-Fulfilling Wheel: The Practice of White Tara."
What Should I Bring?
All prayer texts will be provided for you. Please bring a mala (prayer beads) if you have one.
If you plan to attend over the lunch or dinner hour, plan to bring a vegetarian meal for yourself.
