White People for Racial Justice - Open House (Bentonville)

Our Open House conversations are for white men and women who'd like to learn more about how to be a better ally, work towards being antiracist, and be a part of a pro-justice community of practice.
If you identify as a person of color, we'd love to share and answer your good questions. Please reach out via wmrj.org or [email protected] and we will get in touch with you!

During our open house, you’ll have an opportunity to ask all of your good questions. Some questions from past Open House sessions that we'll cover include:

• Why is a group of white women and/or men gathering to talk about race and racism?
• What do you do together on Zoom or in person?
• Is this just navel-gazing, or do you do anything in the real world?
• How is this group accountable to those most impacted by racism?
• What is the relationship between our organizations and other anti-racism/DEI work being led by Black, Indigenous, or other People of Color?

You'll also hear from existing community members about different ways to get involved locally in Northwest Arkansas, including:

• Joining monthly gatherings to connect with other like-minded white people and engage in anti-racism work together
• Interpersonal work to be done within classes and gatherings so that we can show up for our community with more knowledge and skills
• Working with local partner organizations to build relationships in our community, and learn more.
