What is White Christian Nationalism — and why are so many people talking about it?
As conversations about faith, politics, and democracy grow more intense, it can be difficult to separate fact from rhetoric. This presentation offers an informed exploration of Christian Nationalism and its impact on our shared civic life.
Together, we will explore:
• What White Christian Nationalism is — and what it is not
• How it developed historically and why it has gained renewed attention
• How to recognize its influence in public discourse, policy, and community spaces
• Constructive ways individuals and communities can respond through awareness, dialogue, advocacy, and local engagement
• Resources for continued learning and thoughtful action
This is an opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage respectfully across perspectives. Whether you are deeply familiar with the topic or just beginning to explore it, you are welcome at the table.
Doors will open at 6pm before the program begins at 6:30pm. Bring a friend, enjoy a drink at the Legion's cash bar, and learn something new with GCC!
