GABA Outstanding Achievement Award

As a highlight of the evening, GABA Southern California is proud to present the 2026 GABA Outstanding Achievement Award to Markus Gross, Chief Scientist of The Walt Disney Studios. An internationally recognized leader in artificial intelligence, machine learning, visual computing, and immersive experiences, Markus also serves as a Professor of Computer Science at the ETH Zurich. His groundbreaking contributions to the film industry have been recognized with two Technical Achievement Awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Following the award ceremony, Markus Gross will take the stage for an engaging fireside chat, offering a rare glimpse into the cutting edge of AI and visual computing in the entertainment industry. Markus will share his perspectives on the latest breakthroughs shaping the field and unveil his vision for the years ahead. This conversation promises to be both inspiring and thought-provoking.
