Participate in Earth Month organized by the Town in partnership with the Whitby Public Library on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Whitby Public Library, Central Library from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The following programs will allow you to divert and reduce waste:
Repair Café: Have a broken or damaged item? Pop by the Repair Café, in Meeting Room 1, to learn how to fix them with the help of local experts. Advance registration is required: https://webforms.whitby.ca/Sustainability/2025/Repair-Cafe-Spring-2025
Waste Reduction: Recycle “hard-to-recyclable” items and help reduce your impact on our planet. Bring your old Brita filters, printer ink cartridges, disposable razors, toothbrushes, and pens, markers and highlighters and drop them off at the designated boxes kept in the Library’s Front lobby. One lucky participant will win a $100 LEAF gift card. No registration is required.
