Join us this October for Whispers of the Past: Macabre Tales of the Bedford Avenue Clay Street Historic District. Follow Victorian era guides by lantern light (or daylight if you prefer!) as you explore one of the town’s oldest neighborhoods. Along the way, uncover forgotten cemeteries, pioneer triumphs and tragedies, the memory of eerie sanatoriums, and the secrets behind colorful street names.
Residents of the historic district will also share what it’s like to live in some of Placerville’s oldest homes, many with stories as haunting as they are fascinating.
