WHAT:
Barb's Precious Rescue and Adoption Center located at 313 N. Quentin Rd in Palatine is hosting its inaugural holiday photo event Whiskers & Wishes with Santa on Sunday December 15 from 1 - 4 p.m. Local cat parents are invited to celebrate the season in this festive community-focused gathering. Pet owners can capture memorable holiday photos with their cats meet Barb Weber founder and support Barb's Precious Rescue through donations and festive cookies and merchandise sales.
Guests will have the chance to take photos with Santa Elf and the rescue’s beloved mascot Quentin against a holiday-themed backdrop complete with festive decor. A professional photographer will be on-site to capture each moment and all funds raised will directly benefit Barb's Precious Rescue. Attendees are encouraged to dress up their pets in holiday attire.
Suggested donations are $10 or a food item for the rescue.

Barb’s Precious Rescue and Adoption Center is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing a no-K*ll cage-free environment for rescued animals. Located at 313 N. Quentin Rd. Palatine Illinois 60067 Barb’s Precious Rescue operates solely on public donations and the efforts of its volunteer staff. Founded by Barb Weber in 2014 (and celebrating 10 years in 2024!) Barb’s Precious Rescue has grown from a small initiative into a fully operational shelter. Since its founding Barb’s Precious Rescue has provided care for over 5000 cats and kittens offering food shelter and medical services including on-site veterinary care. The rescue’s mission is to find forever homes for each animal operating as a no-K*ll cage-free shelter supported by public donations and over 200 volunteers.
