Why: Nitrous oxide use—often called “Whippets”—is rapidly rising, and with it comes an increased risk of nitrous oxide-related neuropathy. Join us for this CME session where we’ll dive into the essentials of recognizing and managing this condition. You’ll learn how to spot key historical clues and physical exam findings, approach the diagnostic workup, and explore treatment strategies. Plus, enjoy time to connect, share insights, and socialize with colleagues over great food.
Objectives:
Understand the pertinent historical findings and physical examination abnormalities seen in nitrous oxide (NO) neuropathy.
Implement a diagnostic work up, including electrodiagnostic, for NO neuropathy.
Identify differential diagnostic considerations in NO neuropathy.
Understand the underlying neuropathic etiology in NO neuropathy.
Utilize treatment considerations in NO neuropathy.

Bonus: Dr. Brian Duty, OMA President, will speak for 15 minutes at the start of the evening. This is a great opportunity to meet a state leader, hear what’s on his mind, and connect with him directly during the social time to share what’s happening in Southern Oregon.
