Whether you’re a homesteading beginner, a homesteading pro, or a suburbanite simply looking for a way to integrate simple, more natural products into your skincare routine, our workshops will help you make the most of the resources available so close to home.
**Crafting Whipped Tallow Balms Workshop**
Transform one of nature’s most traditional resources into a modern skincare essential. Whipped tallow balms are making waves in natural skincare as an incredible was to moisturize skin naturally —and now, you can learn to make them yourself!
In this interactive workshop, you’ll:
– Learn the differences between suet and leaf fats.
– Discover how tallow stacks up against lard for skincare and beyond.
– Master the process of tempering fat to achieve the ideal balm texture.
Once you’ve got the basics, you’ll craft your very own whipped tallow balm, customized to your preferences. You’ll also receive a simple, versatile recipe to continue your journey at home.
This workshop is perfect for anyone passionate about natural skincare, traditional crafts, or making the most of sustainable, local ingredients. No prior experience is needed—just your enthusiasm and creativity!

– Materials: All necessary materials will be provided and participants will take home their personalized whipped tallow balms.
A 15% discount is available for shopping on the day of your class.
Due to insurance regulations we are unable to accommodate minors during soap making workshops where caustic materials are in use. Other workshops are open to minors, ages 12+, with a paid accompanying adult.
Space in the shop is limited, only paid participants are allowed.
Workshop fees are non-refundable. Workshops may be rescheduled ONCE without cost. Further rescheduling will incur a $25.00 fee, per occurrence. Due to limited seating, we request you reschedule at least 48 hours before a scheduled class. Failure to reschedule, or not attending, a workshop will result in forfeiture of fees.
Mayhem Supply/Greencastle Soap will do everything within its power to maintain its workshop schedule but we must acknowledge that sometimes circumstances make it unavoidable. In the event a workshop must be rescheduled by Mayhem Supply/Greencastle Soap, it will be communicated to the email address and/or phone number provided at registration.
