Discover the grit, warmth, and pride of Blackpool like never before.
The word "Sandgrown" means shaped by the coast, inherent to place, and fiercely proud.
This November, the Sandgrown Song Cycle ‘Where we Belong’ brings the true, unfiltered stories of Blackpool’s LGBTQ+ community, youth, and allies out of creative workshops and onto the grand stage.
Written and composed by award-winning artists Michael Betteridge and Jonathan Ainscough and produced by Phill Fairhurst, alongside local voices, Where We Belong features six incredible local choirs uniting for one night of powerful storytelling through song. It’s moving, it’s joyful, and it’s unmistakably Blackpool.
If you’ve ever searched for your identity, found strength in adversity, or looked for a place to truly belong, this night is for you.
