Join Cumberland Flux for a relaxed summer evening at Emmanuel Parish’s pollinator garden on Saturday, June 27.

We’ll be gathering at the top of the hill behind the church, where the garden opens onto one of the best views of downtown Cumberland. The hilltop gathering area will be our home base for the evening, with cold drinks, locally sourced light snacks, places to sit, and plenty of room to settle in.
From there, you can wander the garden paths, enjoy the flowers and pollinators, help with a little optional garden tending, or simply sit back and watch the evening light move over the city. Butterflies, bees, coneflowers, bee balm, black-eyed Susans, and a very good view are doing most of the work here.
Scott Rieker, who founded and tends the garden, will be there throughout the evening for anyone who wants to learn what’s growing or put their hands in the dirt for a bit. Or not. The garden is the setting, not an assignment.
Emmanuel Parish is kindly hosting us in their garden, but the gathering itself is a Cumberland Flux community event — relaxed, neighborly, and open to all.
As always, this is a low-pressure Flux gathering. No big agenda. No awkward structure. No need to perform. Come by, have a refreshment, talk if you want to, wander if you want to, and take the evening as it comes.
