🌿🐍 Where the Wild Things Are is coming to Max Brandon Park! 🐐🕷️

Join us on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM at Kearsley Park for a one-day family event that brings the wonders of wildlife and nature directly into our community.
Where the Wild Things Are is designed to provide an educational, interactive, and engaging experience for youth and families by connecting them with animals, insects, reptiles, amphibians, and the natural world in a fun, hands-on environment. Our goal is to create meaningful outdoor experiences that encourage exploration, spark curiosity, and foster a deeper appreciation for nature—all while creating lasting memories in one of the City of Flint's beautiful parks.
Throughout the afternoon, guests will have the opportunity to:
🐐 Meet and interact with live animals including goat snuggling, reptile exhibit, and educational interactions
🐍 Get up close with reptiles and amphibians
🕷️ Discover fascinating bugs and insects
🌿 Participate in hands-on nature activities and games
🎤 Enjoy a live animal presentation from 12:00–1:00 PM
This event also highlights the incredible work of our community partners and environmental organizations, giving families the opportunity to learn about local conservation efforts, wildlife education, and resources available right here in Genesee County.
Whether you're a lifelong nature enthusiast or simply looking for a fun, free family outing, Where the Wild Things Are offers something for all ages.
