Samuel Breene - Baroque violin
Jeffrey Noonan - early guitars, vihuela & theorbo
Two years ago – configured as the trio Un Tas de Cordes – they delighted us with an exploration of French court music. This year they return as a duo – Musicke’s Cordes – and invite us to revel in the rich Spanish tradition which, when joined with music from the Americas, moved Baroque in new, innovative directions. Their creative title comes from a quote made by Sancho Panza in Cervantes’ delightful Don Quixote.
