Where is the love? Solo Expo by Sabela García Cuest
At the heart of the exhibition is an ongoing body of work that reflects Sabela García Cuesta's personal journey: her search for love, as well as experiences of pain, vulnerability, friendship, loss, and self-discovery.
A central component of the exhibition is a series of fifty breast portraits, created during personal encounters with women in the artist's studio at the Fabrik der Künste in Hamburg.

Sabela García Cuesta is a Spanish multidisciplinary artist working between Hamburg and international projects.
Her work combines expressive figurative painting with symbolism, mythology and personal narratives.
Alongside her large-scale works, she developed the project “Boob Portraits” – an artistic and social project in which intimate breast portraits are created through personal encounters with women, making individual life stories visible.
Her artistic perspective is shaped by an open, alternative upbringing as well as an international life between India, London, Beijing, Los Angeles, Tel Aviv, Hamburg and Spain.
In recent years, she lived in a community of 13 people in Hamburg’s Schanze district, which has further influenced her work.
