Where Do We Go From Here? A Conversation on Repair and Opportunity

Join the Chicago Urban League for a conversation on ADCRC’s finalized reparations recommendations and the future of repair in Illinois.
About this Event

Hear from Karen Freeman-Wilson, President and CEO of the Chicago Urban League; Marvin Slaughter Jr., Chair of the Illinois African Descent-Citizens Reparations Commission (ADCRC); and Monique Jones, ADCRC Board Member, as they explore the Commission’s finalized recommendations and what they mean for Black Illinoisans who are descendants of American chattel slavery.

Together, they’ll discuss historical and ongoing harms, economic empowerment, generational wealth, and opportunities to advance meaningful repair and equitable opportunity across Illinois.
