About this Event

Join certified wine educator Jessica DiFruscia and Jill for an evening where food, wine, and storytelling come together. In this thoughtfully curated class, Jessica will guide you through a selection of wines from a region highlighted by the evening’s literary focus: The Winemaker’s Wife by Kristin Harmel, while Jill prepares a menu designed to complement each wine. Along the way, you’ll discover approachable wine-pairing principles, cooking tips and explore the harmony between flavour and story.

The Winemaker’s Wife by Kristin Harmel: a dual-timeline historical novel focusing on secrets, betrayal, and survival in France’s Champagne region during WWII. It follows Inès, a newlywed, and her husband, who manages a vineyard, secretly harbouring Resistance members, as their lives and marriage disintegrate under Nazi occupation

We highly recommend guests to read the book before coming to the class.
