When the Men All Pause: Conversations From the Barbershop to the Community.
About this Event
This is a first-of-its-kind, monumental community conversation featuring an all-Black professional male panel speaking boldly and thoughtfully about all three stages of menopause: perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause.Inspired by The Men All Pause: The Barbershop Guide to Perimenopause, Menopause, and Postmenopause, this event centers the mental, emotional, and relational well-being of women as they move through seasons that are often misunderstood, minimized, or carried in silence. These changes can affect peace, identity, confidence, mood, communication, relationships, and the need to feel seen, heard, and supported. This is where the conversation continues: from the barbershop to the community.Through the wisdom, leadership, lived experience, and professional expertise of Black male leaders, men will be invited to lean in, listen differently, receive knowledge, ask better questions, and gain practical insight on how to become more present, engaged, supportive, and understanding of the women in their lives. This will not be a passive event. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to the panelists, creating honest dialogue, real-time engagement, and a powerful exchange that can strengthen homes, relationships, families, and community.Join us for a historic conversation created with purpose, truth, compassion, and urgency.
This event is designed to help men lean in with intention. Through the panelists’ distinct areas of expertise, leadership, life experience, and community influence, men will receive impactful and practical insight that can help them become more present, more engaged, more supportive, and more understanding of what women may be carrying mentally, emotionally, physically, and relationally during these seasons of life. The goal is not blame. The goal is knowledge, awareness, presence, support, and a deeper level of understanding that can strengthen homes, relationships, families, and community. The audience will not simply sit and listen. Guests will have the opportunity to pitch questions directly to the panelists, creating a live, honest, and meaningful exchange with respected Black male professionals and leaders.
