About this Event
Join the Greater Fort Worth Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America on Wednesday, Sept. 3, for our program and luncheon, When Sorry Isn’t the Answer: How Social Media Complicates Public Apologies, as presented by Dr. Josh Bentley, associate professor and director of graduate studies.
Apologies are losing their meaning. Too many insincere apologies, combined with too many insincere demands for apologies, are turning apologies into jokes. Organizations cannot assume that every social media complaint deserves an apology. This presentation will help public relations professionals advise clients about when to apologize and when not to, as well as how to reduce the need to apologize in the first place.
