When Protection Isn't Enough - Foundations of Baneful Magic
**The Hearth Practitioners Series**
There comes a point in magical practice where the question changes.
It is no longer simply, "How do I protect myself?"
Sometimes the boundary has already been crossed.
Sometimes the cleansing has been done, the ward has been reinforced, the mundane steps have been taken, and the practitioner is left with a harder question:
"What am I willing to do in response?"
This September, **The Hearth Practitioners Series** moves into the foundations of baneful magic.
We’ll explore the history, ethics, discernment, and practical foundations of this work, including the difference between protection, restriction, reversal, justice, retaliation, and harm, and the responsibility that comes with choosing to act.
This is not about making baneful magic edgy, frightening, or sensational.
It is about understanding where this work sits within witchcraft, learning how to think critically before using it, and recognizing that knowing *how* to do something is not the same as knowing *when* to do it.
And, as always with **The Hearth Practitioners Series**, we will not only talk about the magic.
We will practice it!
Participants will complete a carefully considered magical working during the evening, with all materials provided.
