Wheelchair Accessible Rafting or Kayaking on Lower American River

Raft or Kayak the Lower American River with TLC & Headwaters Adventure Co

Parking: We will leave all the wheelchairs and cars at Take Out. A bus will take everyone to Put In at 9:30 and we will have a wheelchair there to transport people from the bus to the boats.

Put In: We will take off from Sunrise Recreation Area, at the river access point, Old Fair Oaks Brg, Fair Oaks, CA 95628

Take Out: We will take the boats off the river at Gristmill Recreation Area, 9517 Mira Del Rio Dr, Sacramento, CA 95827

Date: May 30, 2026 at 9:00 AM (Pacific Time) - 1:00 PM

Suggested Donation: $40 per person (1 disabled participant can bring 2 able bodied people max.) Event open to people with neurological disabilities and thier guests.

Get ready for an exciting adventure on the Lower American River! Join TLC & Headwaters Adventure Co for a day of rafting or kayaking from Sunrise Recreation Area down the river. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, this event is perfect for all skill levels. This is an easy class I. Very small white water. Don't miss out on the opportunity to explore the river, enjoy the scenic views, and make unforgettable memories with friends and family. Lunch will be served on the river. Volunteers needed.
