Wheel throwing class for Beginners
Excited to get your hands muddy? Drop on by to learn the basics of Throwing in Ceramics in this Beginner Pottery Wheel Class. During this hands-on adventure, you will be guided through all the different steps needed to turn a small ball of clay into a unique, one-of-a-kind vessel made with your very own hands. Whether it’s been a bucket-list item, or you want to try something new, this class is perfect for you to get started playing with clay. No experience needed. YOU WILL GET MESSY!

Location: The Garcia Center for the Arts
Recommendations: Wear clothing you don’t mind getting messy; Shoes be closed toe; Avoid loose hanging sleeves; Remove hand jewelry; Maintain shorter nails; Age 10+
Note: This is a 2-hour pottery wheel lesson taught in a group setting. Each person will work with 2lbs of clay, and choose a color for their final piece. The instructor will guide you through the throwing process, step by step, and give feedback to each person as needed.
