For those that want to get dirty!Wheel Throwing Fundamentals is a 5 week intensive course designed to introduce beginners to a variety of skills and knowledge in Wheel Throwing.
2026 Round 1- Monday Mornings: 9:30am-12pm
Week 1: 2nd March
Throwing- Focus on centering, body positioning, small bowls
Week 2: 9th March
Throwing- Focus on pulling up height to achieve taller narrow shapes for vases and cups.
Week 3: 16th March
Throwing- Focus on interesting shapes such as juicers, double walled jewellery bowls
Week 4: 23rd March
Trimming and decorating
Week 5: 30th March
Glazing and decorating
You will learn:
+ Clay knowledge
+ Throwing basic shapes for form and structure
+ Trimming for refinement
+ Decorating techniques such as carving, stamping, and slip application.
+ Glazing techniques
