Fancy an early season Duathlon with a twist?We've teamed up with Wheal Velocity Cycling Club to bring you something a bit different...
Using their closed road cycle circuit, as well as purpose built trails around the Wheal Jane site, the Wheal Jane Duathlon is a 2.5km run, 10km bike, 1.25km run TWICE!
All athletes are randomly put in one of two heats. You then race within your heat, with the top 50% going into the A final, the bottom 50% going into the B final. Everyone then races again in their relevant finals for the win!
This is a chance for some short distance racing (think Super league Tri, just in Cornwall), while being able to race with those of your similar ability (regardless of age group or gender).

JUNIOR EVENTS (5-16y)
Take on the non-timed Micro Scoot event (5-8Y), a real highlight for aspiring triathletes, or compete in your age group in the junior event.
The twist here is that due to the short nature of this event, anyone aged 13+ can race with the adults!
Worried you'd be too slow against the oldies? That's where the second race comes in! You will be seeded into a final with those who had a similar finish time. The perk being, Juniors will be up and raring to go for round 2 while the adults need to rest and recharge!

Juniors:
5-8y: 600m Scoot - 600m bike - 150m run
8y: 400m run – 1.5km bike – 200m run
9y-10y: 1.0km run – 3.0km bike – 0.5km run
11-12y: 1.5km run – 6.0km bike – 0.5km run
Seniors
13-99y: 2.5km run – 10km bike – 1.25km run
