Hear ULI’s recommendations for strengthening commercial vitality in the U District, then connect with neighborhood leaders at happy hour
About this Event

How can the U District maintain a diverse, vibrant commercial district as the neighborhood grows?

Join the U District Partnership (UDP) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) for a presentation of recommendations exploring the future of commercial vitality in the U District.

As part of a ULI Mini Technical Assistance Panel (mTAP), a multidisciplinary team of real estate, development, and planning professionals will spend the day exploring the neighborhood’s commercial landscape and identifying strategies to support a diverse mix of businesses and a thriving district.

At this culminating presentation, hear the panel’s findings and recommendations for strengthening commercial vitality, supporting business viability, and shaping the U District’s future. These ideas will help inform UDP’s organizational priorities and its engagement in Seattle’s U District Subarea Plan.

Then stay for happy hour! Connect with neighborhood business owners, property owners, community leaders, and fellow U District enthusiasts to exchange ideas and continue the conversation while enjoying one of the best views in Seattle.

Whether you work in the neighborhood, own a local business, live nearby, or care about the future of Seattle’s urban neighborhoods, we’d love to see you there.

Presentation and happy hour hosted by the U District Partnership, in collaboration with the Urban Land Institute.
