What's in the Name? Origins of the street names of North Belfast

The names of streets in North Belfast originate from a range of sources. In this illustrated talk at the historic Carnegie Oldpark, Peter McCabe will detail 20 such streets, or series of streets. From streets named after the new ocean-going steamships built by Harland & Wolff from 1870, a cluster of streets named after famous golf courses, and streets named after locations around the world, the talk will also explain, and perhaps myth-bust, the origin of Eia Street!
