Evan Smith served as Director of Tourism at Discover Newport for 35 years before retiring in 2025. Today he still actively consults for several travel related businesses and organizations. Earlier in his career he spent another 13 years working in hotel management and also in sales for an international tour operator. Focusing on trends in travel has been and continues to be his personal passion.
