As part of the celebrations of our 950th anniversary, these lectures will reflect on aspects of the artistic and cultural heritage of Chichester Cathedral, the ways in which these speak to us amid the challenges and opportunities of our current time, and their relevance for future generations.
Kieron Winn’s poems have appeared in magazines such as New Statesman, The Spectator andThe Times Literary Supplement. His collections of poetry are No Time (2025) and The Mortal Man (2015). In 2021 he was the first poet in residence at Rydal Mount since Wordsworth’s time. He lives in Oxford and Penrith.
This lecture will combine, in different measure, reflection on art, culture, history, theology and spirituality. All are welcome and no prior knowledge of the Cathedral or subject area is expected.
The programme on each evening will be:
6.30pm Drinks
7.00pm Lecture
7.45pm Questions/discussion
8.30pm Finish
