About this Event
What do families and students want their education, especially high school, to provide? And how should parents and students have this conversation?
Artificial intelligence is upending what students need to know and what will help them succeed in the world beyond high school. And that means educators including those at d-tech High School are talking about what might change in our schools.
The best schools prepare our students for the future – to study and succeed in college or university, to build skills that help them thrive in the workplace, to understand themselves and others so they can build rewarding lives.
Join us for the first of a quarterly series of “salon” conversations about the future of learning and how families and students can talk about this.
Our first session: “What families and students want high school to deliver.”
We’ll kick off with a short conversation with Dr. Ken Montgomery, co founder of d-tech and Dr. Ash Vasudeva, director of education programs at the Hewlett Foundation and a d-tech board member, led by Betsy Corcoran, founder of EdSurge and president of the d-tech board about how education is changing. And we'll break into groups, including students, families and teachers, to give voice to everyone's thoughts and concerns about the evolution of education.
Join us! Please RSVP as seating is limited.
