What is SoTL Research? How to use your High-Impact Practices to Create Publications
Description:
What is SoTL Research? You are probably already doing it & not aware of that. SoTL Research, or the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Research, is a systematic approach to investigating and improving teaching and learning in higher education. It involves identifying meaningful questions about student learning, collecting and analyzing evidence, and sharing findings publicly to contribute to the broader knowledge community.
Every time you make changes to your courses because you feel you could do something different/better, you are starting the SoTL Research process. Come learn how to turn what you are already doing into scholarly work, presentations, & publications.
Facilitator:
Dr. Karen Lee Perell-Gerson, QEP Director
Dr. Susan Bussey, Professor of English and CTE Affiliate Faculty of Integrative Learning
