What if peace of mind was a practice?
Discover Kriya Yoga
In a world of constant stimulation, distraction and mental noise, many of us are looking for something deeper - greater stillness, clarity, awareness and a sense of connection within ourselves.
Kriya Yoga is an ancient, universal and non-sectarian meditation tradition combining breath, awareness and yogic disciplines.
The tradition has been passed from teacher to student through a living lineage for generations. It is not simply a technique to be learned from a book or online. Kriya Yoga is traditionally received through initiation from a Kriya Master or an authorised teacher.
No previous experience with yoga or meditation is required.
A two-day introduction to Kriya Yoga
On 17–18 October, seekers will have the opportunity to experience the Kriya Yoga tradition and receive instruction in its foundational practices by a visiting Swami, Paripurnanandaaji.
The traditional initiation begins with a purification and blessing ceremony. Through meditation, breath practices, sacred mantras and the ceremony itself, participants are prepared to receive the Kriya teachings.
Following the ceremony, the first level of Kriya techniques is taught, giving participants practical meditation techniques that they can continue to practise independently.
The tradition
Kriya Yoga was brought to a wide Western audience through Paramahansa Yogananda, author of the internationally renowned Autobiography of a Yogi, which has introduced generations of readers to the traditions of yoga and meditation.
At its heart, Kriya Yoga is an invitation to turn inward — to quiet the chatter of the mind, deepen awareness and explore the possibilities of our own consciousness.
Whether you are curious about meditation, interested in exploring a spiritual practice, or simply drawn to discovering a different way of experiencing yourself and the world, this may be an opportunity to explore something beyond the ordinary.
