What Happens When People Build Together?

📅 8 August 2026 | 14:30–16:00
📍 Arvamusfestival, Paide Vallimägi, Estonia
We have never been more connected - and yet many people feel more isolated than ever.
We attend conferences, networking events and startup gatherings. We exchange LinkedIn contacts, join communities and expand our professional networks.
Yet meaningful new relationships often remain surprisingly difficult to build.
At the same time, some of the strongest friendships, collaborations and professional partnerships emerge in environments where people work together under pressure to create something new.
Why?
What is it about shared creation and collective problem-solving that creates trust so unusually fast? Why do collaborative environments often lead to deeper connections than traditional networking spaces? And why is it becoming increasingly difficult for adults to build meaningful relationships outside situations where people genuinely rely on one another?
This year, Garage48 is proud to contribute to the Arvamusfestival programme by organising a discussion that explores collaboration not only as a tool for innovation, but also as a social experience.
Join us for an honest conversation about trust, friendship, teamwork and human connection in an increasingly digital world.
