What Follows Her

Please join us for our latest exhibit featuring works by Angel Lesnikowski, opening for our Art Hop reception on Thursday, November 5, at 5:00 PM.
In What Follows Her, Angel Lesnikowski explores the unsettling feeling of society moving backward. Drawing on medieval imagery and the histories of ancient empires, her paintings connect inherited grief and the threat of violence with the ongoing struggle for human rights. Shaped by her Assyrian Iraqi heritage and a feminist perspective, the exhibition asks what continues to follow women through time, and what future remains possible when the past keeps returning.
