What Do I Bring To Barnsley Street: Strengthening Our Intersectional Lens
About this Event
What Do I Bring To Barnsley Street: A Reflective Workshop on Strengthening Our Intersectional Lens
Co-created and hosted by the Mental Health Alliance training partners for Barnsley Street, join us for Phase 2 of our cultural sensitivity and trauma-informed awarenes training.
What Do I Bring To Barnsley Street, builds on the introductory sessions delivered in Year 1 of the funding by APDA, elop and Women’s Inclusive Team, but taking a more intersectional approach to deepen awareness of the experiences visitors at Barnsley Street may present.
This will be in-person training involving icebreaking activities, discussions, exercises, community story-telling and working through case studies where you will have opportunity to reflect, share, and explore unconscious bias, power and privilege that you bring to the centre and how to engage in mindful practice.
It’s all about connection, stories, and self-discovery. This session invites you to dive in and discover more about yourself and the communities you are supporting.
