DAY ONE (Saturday 22 March 2025)From the Summit to the Sea – The Riversdale Beach Farm Hike is your gateway to experiencing New Zealand’s stunning rural landscapes and is the perfect way to reconnect with rural life.
Perfect for hikers of all levels, this self-guided 17km hike takes you across the historic Orui Station, along the Whareama River and through the breathtaking private farmland of Pōhatu Farm. For more details, please visit pohatufarm.com
A delicious home-made packed lunch (prepared by Whareama School) will be provided and can be enjoyed at any stage of the walk.
DAY TWO (Sunday 23 March 2025)
Walking over Homewood Station, this is a more relaxed 4-6km walk across private rolling farmland to the Kaiwhata River Mouth.
Enjoy breakfast or lunch at the lovely Homewood Storeroom before or after your walk.

For now we suggest you save the date, invite some mates and book some accommodation. There are lots of options at Riversdale Beach and in the Whareama and Homewood area.
