Women’s Day of Action: Rise Up for Pay Equity

132 years and one day after women secured the right to vote in Aotearoa, we are gathering again in strength and solidarity.
The Government gutted Pay Equity legislation that would have eased the cost of living and lifted pay of 182,000+ people. Across Aotearoa there will be activations to send a clear message: Pay equity is not optional. Our livelihoods should never be on the political chopping block.
When: 10am -12pm
Where: Come together to celebrate the women in our lives. We will be hearing speeches, enrolling to vote, have awesome stalls, activities for Tamariki and coming together in solidarity.
Wear: purple, green and white in honour of suffrage
Everyone is welcome – bring your whānau, friends and community 💜💚🤍
