Join Allison Weeden of Red Fox Felting and discover the magic of transforming loose wool fibers into a beautifully sculpted vessel in this hands-on wet felting workshop.
In this session, participants will learn the fundamentals of wet felting while creating a unique wool pod—perfect as a decorative piece, small container, or nature-inspired accent.
Guided step by step, you’ll explore how to layer and shape wool roving, apply water and agitation, and use resist techniques to form a hollow structure. Along the way, we’ll cover fiber selection, color blending, surface design, and finishing methods to give your pod a polished, organic look.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced makers alike—no prior felting experience is required. By the end, you’ll leave with your own handcrafted wool pod and the skills to continue experimenting with sculptural felt forms at home. All materials are provided; just bring your creativity and a willingness to get your hands a little soapy!
