Westwood Rising: summer STEAM program

Westwood Rising: Summer STEAM Program is a free summer program designed to expand access to creative learning for youth in Cincinnati’s largest neighborhood.
Running from early June through early August 2026, the program will offer recurring, arts-integrated STEAM classes for summer campers and other neighborhood children ages 5–12.
Sessions will be held on Fridays from 10:30-11:30am outdoors on the grounds of Westwood Town Hall, weather permitting, transforming a familiar civic space into an engaging hub for creativity, learning, and play.
*No events on June 19th or July 3rd for holiday celebrations.*
**All children under 10 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian regardless of class.**

June 12: Eco Printed Bandanas - Westwood Grows 🌿
- Create your very own custom bandana with plants gathered from around Westwood Town Hall with Mary Dudley of Westwood Grows! Bandanas provided, while supplies last. All ages welcome!
June 19: **NO EVENT - Juneteenth**
June 26: Meet the Trees around Town Hall - Westwood Grows 🌳
- Join Mary Dudley of Westwood Grows for a walk around Westwood Town hall and talk about the trees living in the park. Say hi to your very tall plant neighbors :) All ages welcome!
July 3: **NO EVENT - 4th of July Weekend**
July 10: Touch a Truck - Altafiber 🚚
July 17: Dinos and Digs - Westwood Library 🦖
- Learn about dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures, dig for “fossils” and make your very own “fossil” out of clay with the Westwood Public Library! All ages welcome!
July 24: Compost Up Close - Westwood Grows 🪱
July 31: Engineer It! - Cincinnati Museum Center 📐
August 7: Water Bottle Rockets - The Cincinnati Observatory 🚀
August 14: Animal Encounter - Great Parks 🦎
