About this Event
Learn flat tire repair, putting your chain back on, and more. We will ride from the co-op to the new Grass Lake shared use trail, out towards Evergreen, and back on quiet roads and some busier roads with bike lanes. We will stop along the way to demonstrate and practice on the road repairs. We will give our bikes a safety check and go over safe riding skills before we head out. Back at the co-op, we will share a lunch created by Co-op bike enthusiast Monica Peabody! This class is for teens and adults. Minors must have an adult guardian with them on the ride. Helmets required for all.
Ami Puri is a bike educator with Intercity Transit’s Walk N Roll program and loves helping all ages of folks learn to get around by bike.
Colleen Welch: I love all things bikey related (except technical mountain biking, which scares me). Twelve years ago I gave up my car and have used my bike and public transportation since then to get around town. I've been volunteering with Walk n Roll for the last couple of years, helping almost every program that WNR dreams up. Last Fall I became a League of American Bicyclists League Cycling Instructor. I really enjoy helping people of all ages become confident riders.
