What happens when a community comes together to document its own history?
Come experience the completed Westside Love Map — a community-created archive celebrating the people, places, memories, and stories that make Chicago’s West Side home.
Join Capstone Clique and the Chicago History Museum for an evening of film, storytelling, community conversation, and connection as we celebrate the people and neighborhoods that helped build this living archive.
EXPERIENCE THE EXHIBITION
Explore the completed Westside Love Maps of North Lawndale, Garfield Park, and Austin and discover the stories, memories, landmarks, and community voices captured throughout the project.
Through photography, film, oral history, mapping, artifacts, and community storytelling, the Westside Love Map brings neighborhood memory into the museum — creating space for residents and visitors to see, hear, and experience the West Side through the people who know it best.
