Weston Artspace: Creative Textiles Course (10 weeks)

Join Weston Artspace for a 10-week creative textiles course exploring a wide range of practical techniques in a supportive, community-led environment. Participants will learn textile skills including fabric dyeing, screen printing, stitching, mending, and surface decoration, with a strong focus on upcycling clothes and reusing materials.Alongside hands-on making, the course will introduce ways to share and promote creative work. You’ll learn how to set up and use Instagram, photograph your work, and gain simple marketing skills to help you build confidence in selling or showcasing your creations.This course is designed to support personal development, build creative confidence, and develop skills that can lead towards work, further learning, or improved health and wellbeing. No previous experience is needed — just an interest in making and learning alongside others.

Funded by North Somerset Council, this course is free, but eligibility criteria apply. Participants must be: Aged 19+ On a low income or in receipt of benefits. Looking to develop skills, confidence, and wellbeing, or explore pathways into work or further learning.
