Western Wisconsin Archaeology
Dr. Connie Arzigian is a Research Archaeologist with the Mississippi Valley Archaeology Center (MVAC), and recently retired from teaching in the Archaeology and Anthropology Department at University of Wisconsin--LaCrosse. Her focus of research is on Midwestern Archaeology and Paleoecology, examining subsistence and settlement systems, and the origins of agriculture. She has been working in Wisconsin since coming here for graduate school in 1978. She received her PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1993, and has been working for MVAC since 1988.
