Western Standard Time Ska Orchestra

Western Standard Time Ska Orchestra is a massive, 20-piece all-star ensemble drawn from the fabled West Coast ska scene, with a horn section three times the size of most ska groups. Fifteen years in, they remain one of the most powerful live acts in traditional ska — headlining festivals and iconic venues across the US and Europe.
The WST roster reads like a who’s who of the genre, with members from The Aggrolites, Hepcat, Gogol Bordello, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and more. Over the years they’ve collaborated with vocalists including Angelo Moore of Fishbone, Greg Lee and Alex Desért of Hepcat and Vic Ruggiero of The Slackers — a testament to their standing in the ska and reggae world.
Their fifth studio album, Fire & Water, released in 2025, is their most ambitious project yet — 16 tracks of originals and covers steeped in early 1960s Jamaican sounds, with extensive orchestration including a full string section. It’s a bold statement from a band that has spent a decade and a half rebranding the music of yesteryear and propelling it into the future. Catch them at Summer Fest and you will dance.
