This one-day event brings together local farmers, butchers, and food enthusiasts to celebrate our region’s meat and farming community. Spend the day learning, tasting, and connecting with others who share your passion for high-quality, locally raised meat.We’ll cover topics like best practices in animal handling and meat fabrication—from harvest to retail cuts, understanding the laws and regulations around processing and direct-to-consumer sales, and how to price and market your products effectively. You’ll also get tips on seasonings and meat pairings, plus hear from a panel of local butchers sharing their real-world experiences.
Whether you’re a producer, processor, or just love local food, the Western Ohio Meat Summit is your chance to gain insights, make connections, and help strengthen our regional food system.
The ticket cost for this event is $20 for Ohio Farm Bureau Members and $40 for non-members.
