A musical Wild One, delivering a powerful Mecanic Reggae-Punk-Soul, robust like a laminated steel girder... somewhere between The Clash and The Redskins!
Who are those Magnificent Five ?
Suzie takes center stage, as a charismatic nurse gifted with an soulful voice. Around her a nasty bunch roars: Julien the merciless, with his canonical voice and acid guitar licks; Manu, Anvil of the Fensch, slays Jamaican grooves on his brawling bass; In the light, the infamous rock’n roll priest Bertrand preaches the good word with spiritual riffs; Alone, lurking in the dark, Ralph the Schnitz, hoodlum of the Sablon, smokes drum kits with deadly rimshots.
Their minds are obsessed by one thing... a haunting question : “What Would Joe Strummer Do?!”

Manic Liberation ist ein Britpop-/Postpunk-Trio aus Köln. Gegründet 2022 mit uneitlen Absichten, taucht es seit ein, zwei Jahren verstärkt auf den Bühnen der Stadt auf.
Drahtig verzahnen sich sperrig groovende Drums und Bass, Gitarren-Riffs und auch mal rabaukiger -Lärm und Gesang, der sich zwischen Melodie und Energie aufreibt. Wer Einflüsse von Spoon, Can oder Blur in der Garagerockversion heraushören möchte, hat ein feines Ohr. Auch diverse Vorgängerbands aus den verzweigten Biografien (Bronco, Sektrevolver, Hale Bopps, Monte Carlo Disaster) dürften Spuren hinterlassen haben. 2024 erschien die Debut-EP “stay/go”.
