Join us for a tour of the Western Suburbs, visiting the areas once served by the large private bus operator Westbus. Commencing in October 1984, Westbus started a revolution in the west purchasing bus operators and applying new standards and services to the people of Western Sydney. Multiple bus operators were acquired throughout the 80's and 90's, eventually becoming the largest Private Bus operator in Sydney. Sydney Bus Museum will be operating our recently reactivated Volvo B10M Mk1 m/o 7457, Westbus' 50th Volvo, along with up to 5 other preserved Westbus vehicles kindly supplied by members of our organisation.
The tour will commence from Parramatta at 10am and conclude at Liverpool at 5pm. We will visit areas serviced by Northmead Depot, Seven Hills Depot and Bonnyrigg Depot, including Rogans Hill, Rouse Hill, Bella Vista, Smithfield, Prairiewood and Cabramatta.
