Guided Tour of Fashionable Silhouettes

Explore this celebration of statement sleeves and striking skirts, and the undergarments and accessories that helped to create them.

Fashionable Silhouettes features some of the most dazzling silhouettes in the collection of the National Trust NSW, from a yellow silk gown first worn in the 1740s, through the bustle back era, leg-of-mutton sleeves and ‘New Look’ skirts to the mini dresses of the 1960s.

As well as the guided tour, your ticket includes access to Old Government House, so set aside some extra time to explore the property and have morning tea or lunch at the new onsite cafe.

Please note that each talk will be strictly limited to 20 people so bookings are recommended to avoid disappointment.

Access: Please note: This exhibition is located on the top floor of Old Government House, up a flight of stairs, and throughout select rooms on the ground floor.
