The mission of the West Virginia Fiber Festival is to promote and strengthen the economic vitality of all natural fiber industries in West Virginia and beyond. We are committed to showcasing the full value chain of natural fiber production, from fiber-producing animals/plants to finished goods, while fostering appreciation for its cultural significance and economic potential.

Through interactive, hands-on learning, vendor engagement, and public education, the festival serves as a platform to support local producers, artisans, and entrepreneurs. We aim to increase public awareness of the industry’s growing role in agriculture, manufacturing, and sustainable commerce, and to create opportunities for economic growth, innovation, and community development within the fiber arts sector.
This event is FREE and open to the public on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
On Friday, September 18, 2026, education for current and aspiring sheep producers will be held in the afternoon. It will wrap up in the evening with a networking mixer for producers and artisans. Registration will be required and available at a future date.
