West Oakland Tabletop RPG Meetup

Tabletop RPG night in West Oakland! Play D&D and indie story games with friendly neighbors and professional Game Masters. Beginners welcome.
About this Event

Join us for an evening of collaborative storytelling, dice rolling, and neighborhood adventure at Discover Community Café.

Hosted by Alex from Tenth Tale Games, this event brings together local players for tabletop roleplaying games led by a rotating cast of the Bay's coolest Game Masters. We aim to have three tables each event, each running a different one-shot adventure — pick the table you'd like to join when you grab your ticket.

How It Works

• RSVP for the specific table you'd like to join. There are generally 5 seats per table.
• We will always offer Beginner & Intermediate D&D tables, and our indie/alt-TTRPG table will rotate every month depending on GM interest! Join our Discord for the details.
• The first hour (5-6pm) is a social hour for you to arrive, settle in, start talking about rules, order food and drink, meet your fellow GMs and players. Games start at 6pm.
• $10 cover at the door, split among the GMs. Eventbrite tickets are listed as free to save you from paying platform fees. We'll collect cover via cash or Venmo at the door.
• Discover Community Café offers dinner, beer, and wine. We encourage you to come hungry and support this awesome neighborhood business!
• We need at least 3 sign-ups to run a table, if we don't reach that threshold we'll do our best to let you know ahead of time. This often means you can still play a game - just perhaps not the one you expected!

Community & Atmosphere

This event is part of the growing tabletop gaming community in West Oakland. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or curious to try your first RPG, our GMs will guide you through the rules and help you jump right into the story. Expect collaborative storytelling, memorable characters, and a welcoming table of fellow players. Our tables are welcoming to players of all backgrounds, identities, and experience levels. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
